It's a really sunny day today and volunteers all came out to help pick up trash and leaves in the park. They did a great job to help keep our community and park clean for the residents and inputted value into their relaxing weekend.
Happy Earth Day! Enthusiastic PCR volunteers collected fallen leaves, picked up fallen branches, cleaned up trash, and removed fly posted advertisements in Leif Ericson Park and along the streets of Eighth Avenue to keep our community clean. With the support of sponsors and the dedication of volunteers, PCR is delighted to host our Sixth Spring Eggstravaganza, in which residents in our community convened in Leif Ericson Park and celebrated Easter with their loved ones together. Children across age groups engaged in fun Easter egg hunts to exchange eggs for toys and stationeries. Community Members, please join us for a Day of Unity in Sunset Park. Please join me, Assembly Member Marcela Mityanes, Faith Leaders, and mental health practitioners for healing and building community this Saturday, April 16th at 4pm 44th Street and 6th Avenue.
Volunteers were able to clear up large amount of leaves at the Leif Ericson Park, and with large amount of PCR volunteers cleaning up at the park, the community has become a better place for residents and children to enjoy their time at.
