Junior Litter League (Volunteers)

Service Description

*Recruiting 15 Members for Jr. Little League* In this program, members will be responsible for helping care for our local park, learning about the importance of the environment, and winning fun prizes. The team of 15 volunteers will pick up litter and leaves in Sunset Park. Team leaders will be able to check their team’s standings against other groups across the city mid-way through the competition. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams by borough, and every Jr. Litter Leaguer receives a gift for joining! Special awards and recognition will be given out to participating volunteers by PCR. Potential prizes include: A fishing program with the Urban Park Rangers Horse of Course Program: Visit from a Mounted Parks Enforcement Patrol officer Greenbelt Native Plant Center Tour A dedicated bench with your plaque in a local park Member Responsibilities/Requirements: Good teamwork cooperation Be respectful to your peers. Listen to your group leaders. Take good care of your tools. Stay on task! Do not slack off; consequences will apply. More information about the program at:
