Brooklyn Cyclones AAPI Heritage Night
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Brooklyn Cyclones AAPI Heritage Night at Maimonides Park! We're grateful to our incredible partners—@brooklyncyclones, @homecrestcommunityservices, @cpc_nyc, and @ucao.b—for helping us celebrate the culture, traditions, and contributions of the AAPI community.
Pop-Up Cooling Station
We're proud to help our community stay safe during the hot weather by offering a cool place to rest, along with water and snacks to help beat the heat. As temperatures rise, remember to stay hydrated, take breaks in cool spaces, and watch for signs of heat-related illness. Thank you to NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Online Lecture for Parents
💛 Thank you to everyone who joined the online lecture, "Why Do We Overthink After Becoming Parents?"
From worrying about our children’s future to racing thoughts at bedtime, overthinking can take a toll on parents. Together, we explored practical strategies to reduce anxiety, ease mental overload, and create more space to be present with our children.
A special thank you to Garden of Hope for the insightful presentation, and to everyone who joined us!
PCR Park Wellness Program
Mental health matters not only when life feels hard, but every day. This summer, stop by our Park Wellness Program to slow down and reflect. Our opening theme was "Get to Know Yourself," followed by "Recognize Your Emotions", and "Where Does My Stress Come From?" Join us every weekend at Leif Ericson Park from 6PM to 8PM or Sunset Park from 10AM to 12 PM!
Community Cleanup with District Leader Joyce Xie
🧹 It was wonderful working alongside fellow community organizations and dedicated volunteers to help cleanup 18th Avenue. Thank you to District Leader Joyce Xie for inviting us!
Story Group
Building a lifelong love for reading starts early! Children ages 0–5 and their caregivers came together at our recent Story Group to read, play, and build crucial early literacy and social skills. We love seeing our community learn together—thank you to all who joined, and we hope to see you at our next session!
HENY Museum of Natural History
🗽 ☀️Summer is a season of exploration, discovery, and new experiences! As part of our Historic Exploration of New York Program, these guided tours help participants build confidence and become familiar with American life and culture. The kids enjoyed science, history, and cultures from around the globe at the American Museum of Natural History.
Youth Space
Our Youth Space provides teen volunteers a safe, judgment-free environment to relax, enjoy pizza, and have honest conversations about life. From topics such as school, friendships, family, or mental health, every discussion is built on trust and respect.

Neighborhood in Motion
📽️️ The first week of our new program Neighborhood in Motion, brought participants together to get to know one another and begin sharing their stories. We watched example videos, reflected on what it's like to live around Sunset Park, and talked about the places that hold special meaning in our community. We're excited to continue exploring these stories together in the weeks ahead!
