Multisocial services encompass careers that support people in vulnerable situations like advancing age or poverty. As you all may know, our community consists of predominantly Chinese immigrants who are not fluent in the English language. Therefore, PCR needs a team of volunteers who can inform our community members about the benefits they are eligible for and help them apply. This work will mainly be done by interacting with our community members. We will provide all the basic training and information that you need. The schedule can be accommodated, and commitment to the program is required. Summer, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM (5 hours) School Year, Monday to Friday 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM 947 57th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11219 Requirements: - 14+ Years old - Be fluent in both English and Chinese [Cantonese/Mandarin/Fujanese preferred] - Have patience - Have good communication, writing, and active listening skills - Come at least 2 days a week (flexible schedule, adjust according to school schedule) Please email us at VOLUNTEER.PCRNYC@GMAIL.COM if you are interested.
