Service Description
Multisocial services encompass careers that support people in vulnerable situations like advancing age or poverty. As you all may know, our community consists of predominantly Chinese immigrants who are not fluent in the English language. Therefore, PCR needs a team of volunteers who can inform our community members about the benefits they are eligible for and help them apply. This work will mainly be done by interacting with our community members; therefore, we would need the volunteers on this team to: Be fluent in both Chinese and English Have patience Have good communication, writing, and active listening skills. We will provide all the basic training and information that you need to help the vulnerable people in our community. This program will last every Saturday from 10 AM– 4 PM. The schedule can be accommodated, and commitment to the program is required. Please email me at tinachen.pcr@gmail.com if you are interested.
