Asian American Federation

We were proud to stand with Asian American Federation and our RISE partners on Thursday at City Hall, urging New York City Council to fully fund the #RISENetwork at $3.5 million dollars in the FY2027 Budget!

RISE is not just a legal services network. It’s a lifeline for Asian immigrant New Yorkers who rely on trusted community organizations for reliable legal support in their languages. When immigrant families are forced to wait months for legal help, the consequences can be devastating. Asian immigrants make up nearly 30% of NYC’s non-citizen population, yet community-based legal providers lack the resources to meet demand. New York City Council must fully fund the #RISENetwork at $3.5 million.

Thank you Council Members Susan Zhuang, NYC Council District 38, Tiffany Cabán, Assembly Member Harvey Epstein, State Senator John C. Liu, and staff from Speaker Julie Menin ’s team for joining us today and taking the time to hear how RISE funding has directly impacted the lives of everyday Asian New Yorkers. We’re counting on your support to fully fund the #RISENetwork for the FY2027 Budget!
