Spring Couplets & Blessings 挥春送福

Happy Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day!

On February 14th, we hosted a special celebration where community members received spring couplets to bring home, accessed community resources, created arts and crafts, and shared blessings for the new year.

Thank you to NYC Council District 38, CM Susan Zhuang, Healthfirst, Caipa Foundation and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for your generous support in making this event possible!

Volunteer Appreciation Day

We celebrated our incredible volunteers at our Volunteer Appreciation Day for 2025, whose hard work, dedication, and kindness have made a lasting impact on our community. A special exhibition for our program, "Our Neighborhood, Our Lens," led by Cal Hsiao, showcased meaningful photos teens took of their neighborhood, after weeks of learning and curating.

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Senator Steve Chan, Assemblymember Marcela Mitaynes and Assemblymember Lester Chang, and Councilmember Alexa Avilés (NYC Council District 38) and Councilmember Susan Zhuang, for their support and for honoring PCR and the Fujian United Seniors of the USA.

We're extremely grateful for a community that cares deeply about one another, and we hope to keep moving forward together with momentum into an even better 2026!

Baby Play Day

Today's Baby Play Day was especially gentle. We brought a sweet, calm kitten to meet the babies. Some of the babies quietly watched, and some gently touched the kitten with their parents by their side. The whole experience was peaceful and adorable.

At this age, feeling safe and being accompanied matters more than "doing" something.

Thank you to every family who joined us. We'll continue to organize these gentle and safe sensory activities in the future—stay tuned for the next one.

Reading Club ~

读书会～

Community members came together for another engaging session in our reading club, sharing thoughts and perspectives in a warm, welcoming space.

Dance Class

In our recent dance class, "Feel Your Body, Let Go," participants spent an hour being fully present by slowing down, being in the moment, and relaxing through movement.

Fresh Air Fund Workshop

Children ages 8-17 can apply for sleepaway camps in New York's Mid-Hudson Valley during the summer. Explore the outdoors, learn to swim, hike wooded trails and participate in various fun and exciting activities!

Clothing Distribution

Thank you to our amazing community for the generosity! Together, we collected 38 full bags of winter clothing that will be delivered to the church and other families in need.
