Lunar New Year Lantern Festival
We hosted our Lunar New Year Lantern Festival on February 17, 2024. Due to the unexpected snow and weather, our volunteers came early to help shovel the snow and clear paths so families and friends could enjoy the activities safely. The weather may have been cold, but it can't beat the warm smiles from everyone!
Calligraphy
As Lunar New Year approached, we marked the occasion by practicing calligraphy and inscribing 'good fortune' in Chinese characters. Community members delighted in taking home posters to adorn their households, spreading wishes for prosperity and joy. A heartfelt thank you to HealthFirst for their support!
Free English Class
In a partnership with the New York City's Mayor Office of Immigrant Affairs, we're hosting an 8-week course to the community. We hope this course allows immigrants to fit into America and feel confident when speaking a new language.
In a partnership with Molina Healthcare, residents enjoyed arts and crafts, coloring, giveaways and information. Happy Lunar New Year and stay safe and healthy!
Introduction to Parent-Child Relationship Association for Parents of PS 310
We recently hosted a presentation introducing the Parent-Child Relationship Association as a resource to the parents of students in PS 310. Our programs span across various areas such as community civil engagement, social services, family support, and more. Our programs serve a variety of ages. Community Beautification
Our volunteers are continuing our efforts to clean up our community and free it from litter and debris. We join together on weekends to clean at Leif Ericson Park, Sunset Park, and McKinley Park. To join us, book online at: https://www.pcr.nyc/volunteerevents
