PCR Summer Beyond: Leif Ericson
Join us at PCR Summer Beyond: Leif Ericson Park! Every Saturday for the summer, we're bringing you arts & crafts, dance, and board games. Admission is free, so bring your friends and family and make some unforgettable summer memories!
PCR Summer Beyond: Sunset Park
Sunset Park: Our Summer Beyond program offers a variety of activities, including dance, board games, sports games, and arts & crafts. It's here until the end of the summer, so come make fun memories while you can!
EBT Assistance
From July 1st until now, our office has been tirelessly working to assist community members with cases of stolen EBT. For many, their EBT funds are stolen as soon as they are deposited into their account. We're raising awareness about this issue. Please download the ebtEdge app to lock your card whenever it's not in use and keep your funds safe. If you need assistance, our office is here to help! Contact us!
Multi Social Services
PCR's office offers many services, including housing assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) applications, and other government entitlement applications We're here to support you when you need help!
NYC Commission of Racial Equity
Big thanks to the @racialequitynyc (NYC Commission of Racial Equity) for their insightful discussion on local government issues that matter to our community. We explored the impact of proposed solutions and sparked new ways of thinking about how local government affects our lives. Let's continue to drive positive change together!
Trip to Governors Island
On July 19, we took our summer school kids to Governors Island! From exploring the historic sites to enjoying the playgrounds and having picnics, our kids had a fantastic day filled with fun and adventure. It was a wonderful break from learning and an opportunity to create lasting memories!
Orientation and Youth Voter Education Workshop Recap!
We held an insightful session discussing the impact of our votes on local government and its importance. Our goal is to give our youth an early headstart on understanding key local issues and provide resources on how to vote in the future. Let's empower the next generation of informed voters!
FDNY Conference
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and State Senator Iwen Chu, joined by Councilmember Alexa Avilés, New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh, and other community leaders, held a press conference on e-bike safety. Together, we're committed to supporting our community and helping the victims affected by e-bike fires.
NYC Rat Pack
Rats are a problem in NYC, and that's why the NYC Rat Pack was started! A big thank you to New York Mayor Eric Adams and "Rat Czar" Kathleen Corradi for leading the fight against rats in our city.
