During the summer of 2018

During the summer of 2018, Parent-Child Relationship (PCR) had opened a new dance event. This event was held every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Kids were encouraged to participate along with their parents. This was a bonding event for children and parents, since summer is the best time to rebound and have fun. In order to become involved in this child-parent bonding session, there was no cash involved, only signatures and participants.

During this session, an instructor would be present. As the instructor dances, the kids and parents would eagerly follow and learn. It was a very safe and lively environment. As the participants arrive, there would be volunteer to assist them as they signed in. Participants were allowed to leave and enter at any time. Participants were not forced to stay or join. The instructor would leave after about an hour and a half of dancing; however, that is not where this event ended. Our event coordinator would allow the children and parents to suggest and play different games.

In the end, this event was a perfect child-parent bonding session. It encouraged parents to spend some time with their children; moreover, it might have ended up benefiting their relationship. It was both a enjoyable and creative event. The participants were allowed to dance and, after, choose what they wanted to do.
